Dr. Paul Metzger, Director of The Institute for the Theology of Culture: New Wine, New Wineskins of Multnomah Biblical Seminary will be officially launching his strategic ministry partnership with Dr. John M. Perkins in Portland, Oregon in February 2008 titled “Drum Majors for Truth and Justice”.
Drs. Metzger and Perkins will be speaking at all three services at Imago Dei Community in Portland on Sunday, February 17th, and at Multnomah Bible College and Multnomah Biblical Seminary’s chapel service at 10 AM on February 19th.
Other events are also planned for the launch. Dr. Metzger’s latest book is Consuming Jesus: Beyond Race and Class Divisions in a Consumer Church, for which Dr. Perkins wrote the afterword (Eerdmans, October 2007). Dr. Perkins is the author of numerous books (including his autobiography, Let Justice Roll Down), and has served as an advisor to several US Presidents on poverty related matters.
