Extreme and not for everyone, but I like the idea of picking an income that you can live with, and being content with that even if you begin to make more.
What was most impressive to me about John Wesley’s spending habits, was that he made it a habit to always spend more on others than on himself. As I reflect on how I spend my money I am astonished by all the things I convinced myself that I needed. In reality I’ve been confusing my wants as my needs. If I just stuck with what I needed, I’d be able to help meet the needs of others.
